best WP Permalinks setting

Realized on my blogs that blogname/?p=35 probably isn't the BEST for search engines...
Any advice?

If you have a massive site use /%category%/%postname%/ & for smaller niche sites use /%postname%/

I use this /%category%/%postname%/ no matter what the size of the site.

I then change "Category Base" (in permalinks page) to my main keyword.

What i do on my sites is just change the custom tag to postname and i am done. I think that is SEO friendly but I also discovered that it is not possible to do on a windows hosting(in my experience) so i just stick with linux because of that.
