I want to eventually bring people to a sales page, but it seems Google will eventulaly hate those.

What do you recommend I rank in the SERPS?

What is the future of high ranking pages?

I'd say your blog would be good. Charm your visitors and lead them to your sales page (they should be doing that all by themselves if done right)

post unique content and build links in the end to ur sales site

For those pages which are already with good PR and content, you should keep it and don't forget avoiding make big changes if it is not necessary.

If you want to lead visitors to your certain sales page, you can think about as a new visitor to your site about what they would like to find in the shortest time, is it convenient to find the things they want? The position of each section with different content is reasonable? etc...

Hoping you will get more traffic soon,,, the rules of searching engines are changing, but a good content and website format for customers is an eternal thing that leads to success.

In my opinion, the content site is first, blog is seconed and salespage is last.

Blog or content site is good. If you don't have a lot of content, start a blog. You can eventually build that out into a bigger content site with a blog component (if you are using a self-hosted wordpress site for example).

I think blog will be a good option, but be sure that your blog is well maintained and attractive. This will grab the attention of users towards your blog and then finally with the help of this you can increase your sale.
