Default Dear Adsense pros, what's your take on SINGULAR and PLURAL keywords?

What do you think of the competition and CPC (cost per click) comparing both singular and plural keywords?

Do you find singular / plural keywords rank better?

Do you find singular / plural keywords have higher CPC?

For example
singular keyword = blue widget
plural keyword = blue widgets

PS: I know this depends on the niche. But what's your take on the topic? Adwords advertisers can chime in here too. Since they know which version is more profitable.

Not sure what this has to do with adsense, maybe adwords?

Google normally changes them at will, so it does not matter.
Some things are geared for singular, some plural.

Best tool for ____
is different than
best tools for _____.

For general single word phrases, it mostly does not matter.
I think adwords users would probably already be using both
plural and singular, if they were geared for plural and singular.
But as stated above, if your site is on a specific tool, it may
not be prudent to go for tools. Sometimes they can give
different results.

But then again, google sometimes takes off the s in results.

If you add the s, you have covered both in most cases.

There are so many intangibles for adsense revenue, you cannot predict
anything. Sometimes the lowest priced clicks are on top. Sometimes people
pay for ads that are not related to your niche, but do a massive buy.

Thanks Paul.

I will go for high number of searches per month and low competition. I most probably will stick to either one of them (singular / plural).

Going to build a medium site (100 - 300 pages) containing the long tails as pages.

For example,

seed keyword: blue widgets
remaining hundreds of pages: best blue widgets, modern blue widgets, French blue widgets, etc.

Going with hard data.
