New AdSense feature general category blocking

Hi I just got a email from google, possibly everyone here got one as well, offering to beta test this new feature.
Grabbing some text from the email
"This new feature is based on publisher requests for more filtering options to give you more control over the ads on your sites.."
"General category blocking lets you block ads that fall into a few hundred categories, including travel, finance, automotive, and many others. You'll be able to opt out of up to 50 categories. " Theres some monitoring options to show the inpact on your revenues. at this stage its only for English ads you need to use the new AdSense interface.

So I guess the adsense site owner could attempt to get only adds relevant to the niche and content of his site and maybe get more clicks.
For the advertiser paying for the clicks he should get better targeted traffic.
I may be a bit naive but sounds ok so far.

Does anyone have more information? or some ideas on what the impact may be?
