Do you really need thousands of YouTube accounts?

There are some people selling thousands of youtube accounts. Do you really need all these multiple accounts for generating web traffic? Are there no implications in search engine ranking?

I myself only have one account and i am satisfied from the result i am getting from Youtube for generating traffic. I don't know what they do with thousands of accounts. Maybe its a some kind of BlueFart technique.

They are not using them for seo, they are using the accounts to spam comments in order to get direct traffic.

Has nothing to do with organic results.
