For the last month I have had an article from GoArticles that has been on the first page of google, #4, for a keyword I was targeting a while back. It was one of the first articles I wrote when I got into IM last spring so I didn't have my own blog or website at the time, so I would backlink the article. I of course know not to do that now since I have my own sites. So my question is, what should I do now? Anything I should try to get it re-indexed? or should I just take my loss and move on? Thanks, -Jay Vance |

Is it really de-indexed, or just fallen off to another page?

Is your article not on 1st page anymore? You still have this article ye? If you do, save it as .doc file and submit to document sharing sites. You can use same article on every site. I usually get very good rankings there. Or log to GoArticles and link it back to your site now. If you are worried only about backlinks, then it's just a 1 backlink.

You aren't the only one. I have multiple Goarticles articles that were ranking (linked directly to clickbank) that are currently deindexed. In fact all of my Goarticles articles except for 2 have been deindexed. |

Hi Jay, The same thing has happened to me with my ezinearticles. Google wants fresh content so it will usually put a newer article in place of the article that we already have. I would focus on doing paid methods. Just make sure you start small and that you track your return on investment. If you break even and you are building a list, you can then promote to that list and profit from that list for a long time. |

You can use hubpages and articlebase. Both are good for ranking high and it can allow your affiliate link.

Is it completely gone or just moved down on the search results? Are you sure it was totally de-indexed?
