All the Article Alley articles I see, have an anchor text link in the final paragraph, rather than doing a bio box.

I've used Article Alley and a couple other similar Article directories (like theFreeLibrary). I like Article directories like this.

You simple sprinkle HTML hyperlinks throughout your article. Add a Signature with some links at the very bottom of the article if you want to.

Just makes it easier IMO. One big article can be written up in any word editor (Word, Textpad, Notepad, Wordpad...), I link my keywords in the body of the article, and then copy and paste the whole article and VOILA done!!!

CHEERS!

If you're using ArticleAlley for the backlink, forget it. It's no-followed.

So what. NoFollow is better then NoLink.

Also - I suggest checking out:
I like article directories like these b/c they let you put your links anywhere in the article and put what ever sig I want on the bottom of my article.

For PageRank purposes, Google has stated that a nofollow link is just as good as no link at all.

About rel="nofollow" - Webmaster Tools Help

Overall, I agree with you. The more links, the better. But it's all about opportunity cost. Why would you spend your time writing an article for a nofollow directory when you can submit that same article to a dofollow directory? That's my point.

If you like submitting to nofollow directories for the traffic, though, then thats a different story.

Ezine Articles is, as well is Article Base. The best way to monitor which sites are do follow is by submitting to several different sites and monitoring which ones the back link tools actually pick up.
