Default How to tell what page user clicked adsense ad?

I have analytics installed and of course adsense.

I make around $20 per day on like 15 sites.

How do I tell what page of the site people clicked the adsense from?

Like if I have 10 pages and I see people hitting those pages in analytics how do I know what page they clicked an ad from?

By using channels you can track every ad you put.

Google Analysitcs will tell you this if you tie the accounts together. Under the Content sub-menu you will see an option for AdSense. You can narrow it down to pages through here.

I went here but there is no option for adsense. I checked doing a google search and they said it may not be available for all accounts yet.

Of course I am already using channels but they only track domain name. I have hundreds of pages and want to know my best performing ones to optimize. Any one know what to do?

Like Fraggler said you can combine Analytics + Adsense, then view how much $$ each individual page earns from Adsense.

The down side is Google F up the way you combine accounts, it's more like a hack than anything else.

The first site is easy, site #2+ is the hack job.

I track all my Adsense pages/sites with only Analytics.

Another down side is that you can't import old data from Adsense into Analytics. Still, once you start getting the new data into Analytics it's awesome!

It has been a long time since I have done it but I initiated it from AdSense.

Google gives some pretty clear instructions though: How do I link my AdSense account to Google Analytics? - AdSense Help

When you first connect GA + Adsense, the first Adsense site is the root site, all other Adsense sites are treated as sub-sites inside Analytics when tracking Adsense.

Think of it as the first Adsense site inside Analytics as a folder, & all other sites are added inside that folder.

I know it's confusing as heck, that's why I said Google F this one up.

I'm not sure how this will work If you deleted a site from Analytics that was the root site.

The first thing you need is the root Adsense site, you should have a link on your Adsense account (I think at the top of the page), use that link to create the first connection, Analytics + Adsense. This part should be easy.

Do you see that link to connect the accounts?

This might help to get the first site connected, do this then I'll show you the complicated task of adding the rest of the sites.

Once you have the first site connected (GA + Adsense) you should see this in your sites GA left sidebar.

[edit]

It's possible that it could take up to 24 hours to gather data before this will show in GA.

Yea that adsense link is not there for any of my analytics accounts. I think I deleted the main (root) account a long time ago. What can I do now?

Can you post a screenshot of the top of your Adsense account, just cover up only you personal info.

When I setup my first GA + Adsense connection I think I followed a link from the main (old) Adsense account page. It's been a while since I've done that maybe they removed that link? Or, maybe your account is still tied to the old site, If so, I don't have a clue how to correct that.

Also, both GA + Adsense accounts have to share the same Login email for this to work.

AdSense channels

StatsCounter

Link Analytics + AdSense

Any of the above really.

I doubt very much StatsCounter will tell you any info about which page is making $$ with Adsense.

AdSense channels doesn't come close to showing the details that you get with GA + Adsense accounts connected.

The Analytics data just blows channels away, no joke.

If you want real data about your individual Adsense pages you have to connect GA + Adsense.

It is also one of the quickest ways to increase your earnings. Find the pages that are 'letting the team down' and adjust they way you are presenting your ads or content on that page.

If that page still has a relatively low CTR then find an alternative way to monetise that page. (Amazon, CPA, List Building).

If you find a page with a higher than average CPC or CTR you can focus your time on pushing that one up through the SERPs rather than promoting poorer content.
