I got sucked into that whole "Clickbump/Xfactor" AdSense mini sites stuff when I first started getting my feet wet with SEO and Search Engines, and web stuff in General!

This was my 2nd site EVER created with AdSense & SEO in mind... It's been down for 8 months (b/c I cancelled the hosting). I just re-uploaded the folder that has been sitting on my desktop for almost 2 years... This folder contained my simple HTML site.

I re-uploaded/re-created the directory Friday, November 22, 2010 and have made zero attempts to do anything for this site (the domain was not in top 1000). And it sits at #1 in Google for my search term:

refillable ink cartridges
3600 searches (I go by phrase not exact)
$5.35 CPC

Just thought I would share.

I actually realized I stilled owned a couple of domains for a few more months so I re-upped them all. Some of the content has nothing to do with the domain, just uploaded content that was made for another site. The sole purpose of doing this was to build some backlinks for a new site that I'm trying to rank higher in the SERPs!!!

You're basically saying that your website was offline for a while and then shot up in the rankings for the keyword "refillable ink cartridges" ?

Yes. I have pinged the site and meta indexed it since re-upping so that the search engines would find my backlinks that I created. It does have 53 backlinks that still exist. It NEVER ranked #1. Perfect on-site SEO and obviously an exact keyword domain. Funny thing is I also have the .info of this exact same name domain that doesn't show up in the first 1000 results for the same keywords - albeit only has 7 backlinks. And they are identical. And it looks like I switched nameservers on 11/10 so it was uploaded 11/12.
