| I've been reading up on articles and threads with regards to the Google Keyword Tool and the changes but have not read anything really conclusive. I have a few questions. 1) Is there any difference between the keyword tool results when logged into an adwords account and not logged in? 2) Is the show results for "All Keyword Ideas" and "Ideas Containing My Search Terms" under advanced options obliterated? (Cuz I rmb seeing them months back) 3) All results are exactly the same regardless I select Broad/Phrase/Exact Match? 4) The numbers given for the searches - What are they based on? Impressions? The number of people that type in the exact keyword and hit enter using Google Search Engine? This is a post I read by warrior efex. Here's another thought. I just went to my Webmasters account to see the statistics of the sites. There I can see the IMPRESSIONS of my site on the results pages right? So a site in the first page would have to have almost the same impressions that the number of searches per month. If you are at position #10 you can expect to have the same number of impressions but not any clicks because people don't click those positions right? If you are at higher positions you can expect same impressions but higher clicks to your site. So we are talking here not about the VISITS you receive but the impressions you are having at the results pages of Google. Well gues what. The impressions I get on the first page for my sites are according to the search counts that the NEW data is showing. For example, one keyword that was supposed to have 6k searches and now the new kw tool shows only 1.6k is showing 1k impressions for agust on the first page results, which goes accordingly with the new data. I'm more inclined to think the new data is correct according to this. Basically I am kinda confused. So can anyone help to answer my queries and also introduce a good detailed tutorial on using the new Google Keyword Tool for beginners? |

1) I think there is not difference between information you get when you logged in and when you use it without logging into it. 2) I didn't mean you exactly but Google still shows ideas relating to your keywords. 3) Broad,Phrase and Exact gives you different results. I myself trust exact option. because its more accurate for most purposes. 4) Te information you get are based on number of searches in Google search engine and its providing by Google. So however its not 100% accurate, but its still the best source. |

there are other points that you need to consider as well why there is huge difference between phrase and exact search volume does the traffic estimator calculate the esimated traffic accurately .? Necause I am on third position for the keyword with exact search volume of 5400 and i a not getting even 100 visitors from that keyword... |
