I thought people would be busy today

Oh well, that is what I get for doing my own thinking.

I got up this morning to see over 2,000 page views to my site. And nearly $50 in AdSense. Yesterday was real slow, and it took me forever to get over about $20, and then after dinner, I published an article and all hell broke loose. I went from 2,000 visitors to well over 6,000 in a couple of hours. My AdSense earnings about tripled. I was getting good CTR, but was only earning about fourteen cents per click. Of course, I had over 400 clicks all together. Didn't quite make it to a hundred, but after the slow start, not too bad.

But what are people doing on the web today? I know Thanksgiving is just here in the USA, but my big draw is about cooking turkey. I guess that answers my question though. Nobody can remember how to do it. So I quickly wrote another article on the turkey subject, just to see what happens.

Anyway, I know no one really cares about this, but it took me so long to finally have success, that i like to share it with the friends and whom ever is interested, here at the Warrior Forum. Cuz, this is where i learned all I needed to know to be able to do this.

Anyway, I got to get back to writing something, so maybe I can make some more money today.

Continue writing your great articles. Its very amazing that your website received about 4,000 visitors some hours after writing an article. I suggest you to write such articles at least once a day to make more money.

Today is the really slow day for me, I'm at half my usual visitors... very odd but it's all search engines so I'm assuming it's because of thanksgiving

I can't believe it, I have had over 14K page views today to this site, with well over 11K uniques. Best traffic ever for me. But right at the peak it sold and my revenue got cut off just shy of my record AdSense day. Oh well, it sure was fun while it lasted. Now to go build another one and do it all over again. Now I know how to do it that is.

People are concentrated on Thanksgiving and turkey today. I published an article on cooking turkey last night, and today I published two more on deep-frying and Butterball hotline, and the traffic and clicks went through the roof. Just a matter of giving people what they are looking for. It helps to be able to get an article on the number one spot or close to it in G and GN a few minutes after I publish it. I don't have to spend days, weeks or months back linking to get those valued spots.

Slow days will happen. I myself seem to be stuck in cycle mode.

Okay-decent-good-great-fantastic-mind blowing-zip, then repeat.

I do 5 days or so, each day increasing from the one before, then
bust. The cycle then repeats itself.

Yes, I publish them to my own site, only. I sometimes social bookmark them, but usually I forget to do that. I am not sure it helps a lot, but I have seen some traffic from the social bookmark sites, so I guess it helps.

I have been lucky. Riding a wave so to speak.

But it all came to a crashing end this afternoon. The site was listed on Flippa a day or two ago, and it sold this afternoon and the payment was made promptly. So I had to give it up. Just as I was on a role. Oh well. Time to build a couple more.

I was kind of bummed out that it happened just as I was closing in on my record day for AdSense, but I made well over $200 today, plus the sale of the site. So it was a hell of a good Thanksgiving. I want to see if I can't have a Christmas just as good. I know how to do it now. And if I can do it, anyone can. I didn't know it was this easy.

The hardest part is getting off your a$$ and doing it. I know that work is a four letter word, but I found that it ceased to be work and became fun very quickly. When I started to see the good money come in. I think I have mde well over $100 to more than $200 every day for the last four or five days. And I have done it sitting on my butt, letting someone else write my content for me. How easy is that?

On your Flippa listing here you said that you have several Google News sites, & you don't have time to keep this news site updated, yet in this thread you said:

I find myself experiencing the same roller coaster ride.
The only remedy i can think of, is to build more sites, until earnings balance out.

I want to get to a minimum of USD200/day for the slow days.

Well I didn't atcually sell the site, so I have no control over the listing. It was sold by a friend of mine for me. He did get some of the details wrong. Was this sales hype or just misinformation? I don't know. Is that really important to you. Obviously you need to try and pick holes in my thread. Not sure if that is because of jealousy, or you just don't like to see others succeed.

Either way, it doesn't matter to me. If you choose not to believe me, that is ok. It is a free country, and I got nothing to prove to you. I shared some good news with some fellow Warriors, then a side note to that good news.

Have you ever sold a web site, and did your listing contain no mistakes? Maybe you are perfect. Few I know are.

You posted the link here on WF in your other thread (then you deleted the link). I searched Flippa for the domain name, mainly because it had me puzzled why you would sell after saying the site was doing so well (still puzzled).

That link & your post here on WF don't coincide, just saying.

Great post! Yours numbers are very impressive and I wish you all the best....way to go.
Can we get a look at your sites? Or at least know what they are about?
Where is your traffic coming from? Google and search engines being page 1 and article directories?
