Default Google showing my meta description plus the rest of the page

This is weird... I just noticed that in the SERPS, under my website title, it's showing what I have in the meta description, but then it's showing the H1 line and a bunch of junk after that.

Example, italicized text is the meta description:

"Information on the latest Elvis Presley albums. ... Elvis Presley Albums Welcome to Elvis Presley Albums"

Which obviously looks terrible. Why is it doing this?

"Keep moving forward."

I noticed the same thing on my website these past few days. But I just check it now and it's back to meta description only. Wait a few more days and check again.

Sometimes the little excerpt Google shows in the SERPs is different from your Meta Description is . It all depends on what Google feels is more relevant to the search query - your Meta or a blurp from the actualy page. I've seen this done with a couple of my SERP listings, and I must say I'm not angry with some of the little blurps they've decided to show!

I guess it depends on how Google is feeling for that search

CHEERS!
