An equally important issue, is understanding what has been classified as Heat Maps; these are areas more prone to receive clicks than others. You can read more about Adsense Heat Maps here: https://www.google.com/adsense/suppo...n&answer=17954 Once you learn how to test ad placement starting with the hottest zones and working your way from there, you will have a handle on making the right in-flight adjustments. Just so you know, to succeed at Adsense, it IS NOT a one layout fits all. Giles, the Crew Chief | |

Totally agree with Crew, there isn't any particular theme. My personal favourite though, Lifestyle theme. It's quite tweakable Regards |

Yeah, just make sure it is nice and clean. I like to keep a sidebar on the right-hand side rather than (if at all) though. The default WP3 theme is a ripper! |

I agree with what Giles (Crew Chief) said, there is no magic bullet theme. It is all about testing various Adsense positions, sizes, colours, borders etc.. Create an Adsense channel for each Adsense block you make and compare and contrast the results. Just use a nice clean theme, no clutter.

Just thought I would add that you should avoid using themes made specifically to make money with adsense. Building sites to make money with adsense is against TOS so using a theme made for the specific purpose would be like stating that is exactly what you are trying to do. The end result would be a manuel review and possible a ban. I don't know how often this happens, but play with fire and you're likely to get burned... |

I don't think there is special theme to makes more money for you. I myself select free and nice template and firstly i test the adsense ads on it, then if relevant ads show, i choose that theme.

Thesis by far. You can customize it as you like, use it on all your blogs/affiliate sites (provided you purchased the "Developer" level package) and the hooks provide much more ease of use than digging into code. (If you don't have the OpenHook plugin, go get it right now.) Side note: use skins with your Thesis theme to provide even more customization. |

My favourite theme for adsense is Matt Carter's affiliate theme. It is simple, clean, custimizable, and is set up specifically for Search Engine Optimization. You can get it here for free - Free Instant Download: Premium Affiliate Wordpress Theme | Internet Marketing Secrets, Affiliate Marketing Blog, Affiliate Internet Marketing |

All of Clickbump's themes (Scott Blanchard)... whether you want a semi-professional clean site or an SEO- and Adsense-optimized site, they're great. Nothing better for XFactor/Clickbump sites...

I use Heatmap and Flexibility theme for various applications. I feel that when it comes from MFA, the day of the really ugly MFA site is past - even xfactor said he moved to professional looking header graphics and the like. For me, if I need to do a LOT of customizing i use heatmap, and when I just want to put together a microniche site for MFA puproses I use Flexability - it is free and looks slick. That said, my best money maker uses some hacked up free theme i found at the wordpress website - Worry less about the template and more about the content. |
