I'm considering upgrading my hosting package and am wondering if this will have any initial negative effects on SEO for my current websites, because of the change in IP address? I'm planning to upgrade to hosting with a dedicated IP address. PS. What I'm worried about is losing all the current backlinks that have been built. Should I be? |

You may suffer a temporary setback, but it won't be permanent, ie all your past efforts going to waste.

As long as the links are all domain name based, you will see now change in your SERPs at all.

If they're pointing to one IP and then that IP no longer hosts the domains, how do they remain pointing to the same website? Do the backlinks have to be reindexed?...I hope this is making sense. How does all of that work? | |

Its not needed that you be worry about it but i suggest you to don't change the location of your server. For example if your previous server was in USA, buy your next server from USA.
