Hey so i created a new site and was doing some manual back linking by posting comments with anchor text on blogs. I did this about 2 days ago, and all of a sudden when i checked my site in Yahoo Site Explorer i have over 100 links from one site. These are all different posts and pages from the site but they show in the backlinks. The thing i want to know is will this hurt my rankings or will these links not count? I hope this one site doesn't wreck my chances of this site ranking good. Thanks to who ever can help me out here |

Nothing wrong with this, you'll usually see backlink spikes like this one, when you've been commenting on blogs etc. Some blogs will have a "Latest Comment" widget, which is displayed on all of the pages within the blog, so instead of by posting a comment and building 1 link, you can build 100's You'll probably see them disappear sometime soon though, once your comment has been knocked off the widget and the SE's re-index the blog, you won't have these backlinks anymore. It's nothing to worry about. |
