What are the major factors that your hubpages score depends on? Not the one of individual hub, but the one of your profile? |

Not sure of the exact formula but I think a high score comes from having a good number of hubs which themselves have a high score. getting a high score for individual hubs is achieved through quality content and I think that traffic increases it too. Pauline |

Thanks Mike, that's a great source. There is certainly more to it than just adding some content and sitting back and watching it |

I don't think it's a complex issue. I have only a few hubs - all are mid-80s or higher and two are over 95. No tricks - no backlinking campaign. Just high quality, information and relevant writing. My hub content is unique and is not published anywhere except on those hubs. I would start a hub with one longish article - add a few relevant images (usually photos I had taken) - and then add 2-3 more related articles in the next 10 days or so. I also responded to questions and comments left by others. The content was geared toward certain niches and with no attempt to sell or do anything except provide good information. Each hubs has only 1-2 links to one of my sites - no more. I don't get a lot of site traffic from the hubs but I do have regular traffic from hubs I haven't touched for a couple years so not complaining. Hubpages wasn't designed for promotion though it can work well for that. I think if promoting a product is your goal you may have to work harder to get those higher scores. kay |
