SEOers, IMers and WF Members, if you have been paying attention, then you’ve most likely heard the brouhaha about Vitaly Borker, the braggadocios owner of DecorMyEyes dot com. Essentially what happened is Vitaly fail upon a SEO goldmine essentially by accident. As a result, he started raking in some sweet income because his SERP rankings were incredible. But inexplicably, Vitaly committed a critically harmful SEO SIN; he opted to tell the world about his exploit. Read what he said… Quote:
Oddly, IMers, SEOers and WF Members commit this very SEO SIN literally everyday. WF Members, get this point drilled into your cranial cavity; if/once you find a critical SERP exploit such as what Vitaly discovered...
Understand what you have. You have found a rare diamond in a massive diamond field. You have located a gushing oil vein in a high producing oil field. You have unearthed a gold nugget in a profitable gold mine. The moment you tell the world about your finding(s), either one of two things is going to happen and you can take this statement to the bank and cash it. (a). GOOG is going to drop the hammer on you as they dropped the hammer on Vitaly Borker. Oh, and remember when they dropped the hammer on Bavarian Motor Works [the German site] in 2006? It was because some numskull opened his/her mouth and started talking about their secret network, which of course, it immediately lost its secrecy. How many times have we seen WF Members find a high PR page with instant approval, get all excited, post their finding in the War Room or in the Main Forum and the next thing they know the page is shut down for comments and all backlinks are deleted? ![]() They searched like the dickens for that page, found it and got a sweet backlink, told the world, the world responded by swarming to that page like a swarm of Killer Bees swarming to new home and then BAM! That sweet high PR page is shutdown and all the OP got out the deal was some "Thanks" added to his or her WF profile. */[Shaking head in dismay] If Vitaly had shut his mouth, he’d still be ranked high in the SERPS and still be raking in massive cash from organic traffic. Instead, SEOers across the Internet are using him for IM comic fodder. IMHO, pull out the violins because his conduct wins him the IM SEO Sad Story of the Year for 2010. Please don’t be guilty of committing this SEO SIN. Here is my point and hopefully you will grasp it. You may sell, give away, rent or lease a nugget from your gold mine. You may sell, give away, rent or lease a diamond from your diamond mine. You may sell, give away, rent or lease a barrel or barrels of oil from your oil field. But NEVER ever give your oil field! NEVER ever give away diamond mine and NEVER ever give away gold mine away! Keep it in your VAULT unless you don't care if you scuttle it! Giles, the Crew Chief | |

I have to agree with you here. If you find a method to use I'd think really hard before sharing it, especially if would no longer work after you told everyone. It’s like finding a gold mine and telling everyone where it’s at |
