Is "Anchor Text" the most powerful key in all SEO?

hey,
I get a question in my mind & want a clear answer for it, all SEO experts focus on Anchor Text, linked articles with Anchor Text of their own blog, & free blogs with their own sale letter & blog using Anchor Text.

I think it's the most important key to success in backlinks strategy!?

In my opinion, tracking the anchor text of your backlinks and optimizing it is very much the SEO equivalent of tracking stock prices if you are a day trader.

Sure, there will always be much more to look at than just price, but price is very much the core around which all of those features revolve.

I doubt there is really anything more important than it to be honest. Anchor text backlinks have always performed amazingly well for me

Yes, it's definitely one of the most important factors.

anchortext - yes. But what do the experts think about non-anchor text in proximity of the anchor text?

Correct but you have to be natural about it. Dont mass submit with same anchor links etc...you should spread the anchor text links in a natural looking way for best results..

Yes i think so as it has almost single handedly aided me to rank many keywords/keyword phrases to position no. 2 on page 1 of the SERP's

Exactly!

I would consider link diversity (including anchor link text diversity), the most important for long term success.
