Hi all, I've selected the below article directories for my new backlinking campaign based on their overall standing, traffic and ability to include backlinks either in the article body and/or article resource box. Does anyone here have any suggestions? I.e. have I missed any that are truly important, have I listed one (or more) that might be better skipped and replaced by another/others? I know the general consensus is "only 20 of them are worth the time and effort" but from what I've seen most have a low PR and look "tacky" giving me the impression they'll die off hence it's not worth the time and effort posting there. Also, do you change your author name for each directory? EzineArticles GoArticles ArticlesBase Buzzle IsNare Gather Article valley Idea Marketers Articles Factory Thanks all, |

That should be more than enough. I've done successful article marketing campaigns using Ezinearticles alone. Easier to manage, and still ended up being effective. So you should be fine if you do all of those. My recommendation would be to focus on one and becoming an expert in that one. The one I would recommend is Ezine, because they are really good. I'm sure others will have other opinions, but that's mine. All the best with your campaign. |

Thanks a lot for replying and wishing me well ![]() This is what I plan to do: a) Post an article on my own site, wait until it's indexed b) Post the same article (perhaps change the title) on EzineArticles, wait until it's indexed c) Post the same article as above on all the other article websites in similar manner Rinse and repeat changing the body links/resource box links anchor text depending on the keyword and page I'm trying to rank for (only once I've already ranked high enough for a given keyword before making changes). I've read so much on duplicate content and how it's a myth (unless various pages on our own site have the same content) that I can't see how the above can't finally work. |

Has anyone else found GoArticles to be slow on getting indexed when adding new articles?

Well, it's been weeks and weeks and when doing a site:goarticles "<article title>" in Google the articles I've submitted still aren't indexed. Why? The other article directories index articles within days. Something isn't right with Go Articles anyhow. The article is submitted but when I go view it via Go Articles (from within my own profile) on the left a option menu pops up with one of the options being "Publish Article". Should this even be there for an already submitted article? Anyhow, when I click it it just shows me the article body and resource box in edit view (text + html) but without any submit button anywhere to be seen. Anyone know what's going on? Thanks, P.S. Okay okay, so the publish option is there if I want to take someone's article and add it to my own site. That's logical. In such case it's merely a case of why isn't Google indexing these articles? I've looked at the source of the page and there's not a no-index meta tag. |

So, I take it everyone is as baffled by this as I am and there's not a logical answer to be found? |

Not to mention, any of your links inside of a Go Articles article are no-follow.

I have really good results with Articles Base. I agree that you don't need to use a ton or different directories. I have articles on AB that outrank the majority of other people's websites for the same keyword phrases.

Thanks for replying. In that case it's a mystery. There's no settings either with the articles or on my profile that somehow control whether articles are indexable or not. My account has never been banned either. |
