Default An ex employee is sabotaging my site. Can I ask you guys a question?

Hello, warriors. I have an employee that I fired a couple months ago and has been hacking into my site and trying to ruin my business. She did things like change my phone number and turn on an old adwords campaign that I thought was deleted. Now I just did a search for my site and the pic is gone in google on the search review. I am wondering if it's the description that was taken out? Could someone check out my source code and let me know? Thanks. Also, does anyone know how to prevent them from hacking into my hosting besides just changing passwords?

Just change passwords ASAP!

Anytime an employee leaves, change the passwords to anything & everything they had access to.

Otherwise your creating your own problems.

Contact the host and get them to ban the IP. That would be a start (other than changing the password).

Sounds like the story I watched on 60 minutes last night about this website called Facebook.

Change all of your passwords. Confront the person. Call and let them know charges will be filed and that you're serious.

That is horrible. What a nightmare to have a former employee try to ruin your site like that. You have got to act quickly before irreparable harm is done. Next time, make sure to change ALL passwords first before firing an employee. That way they cannot access your sites after they have been fired. Disgruntled employees can be extremely dangerous, both online and off. Good luck.

If you have incurred negative financial damage I would be contacting the police and a lawyer immediately.

You can also do the traditional: 'Kick her ass back to LameVille!'

Seriously tho just contact your host to ban her IP, if this continues I guess the best resolution would be to contact her directly and warn her to stop otherwise (follow instructions above )

Like everyone said above, get your passwords changed immediately and contact your host and find out when files etc were changed, this in case you need it for a legal battle later.

How was Google charging you for your AdWords account? Don't want to alarm you but if you trusted this person with your AdWords account, do they have access to your credit card numbers etc as well? IF they do, Id get new cards ASAP with different numbers on them.

By the way, passwords should be sufficient enough, just make sure that they are VERY VERY strong and not obvious!

All the best and I hope it all works out

Thanks
Zaheer
