How To Monetize a Tattoo Photo Site

I am beating my head against the wall on how to monetize this site. It's a site with photos and videos of unique tattoos. I get a few hundred visitors a day, but the traffic does not click adsense, but most of the adsense is general and not targeted. They don't buy amazon products. They don't buy tattoo related products. Seems like they just like to look at pictures of cool tattoos.

My adsense placement is the same as it is for other blogs. I have tested variations, but they did not produce any better.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

It might be easier monetize with some flashy/colorful ads vs. text links. This is just my opinion. You could always make it a paid membership site and turn it into a mini social network site for us tattoo people!

Maybe with enough traffic you could take advantage of CPM advertising?! Not super familiar with this, but you could always look at sites like Adbrite and Chitika and something else... Sorry, kind of tired drawing a blank.

My avatar is actually a picture of the tattoo on my back - I inverted the colors and stuff in photoshop to make it a fun Avatar!

Speaking of tattoos, I need to get some detail work done to my back and work on my arm some more!

You may have more luck with some simple CPA ads. Like something that appeals to the type of people who look at tattoo pictures online. Hell, you might even be able to an ad related to tattoos. Look at offervault.com and see if you find anything tattoo related. If you do, just apply to be a member of that network .
