I'm building a link network/pyramid/wheel/this-months-fancy-term with the 1st tier of sites linking to my money page, the 2nd tier of sites linking to my 1st tier and a 3rd tier of backlinks linking to my 1st and 2nd tier. For the backlinks, I'm planning to use something like DFB. What I'm having trouble with is the keyword(s). I want my money page to rank for a certain keyword (in my diagram, I'm linking my 1st tier sites to my money page using that keyword as the anchor text). But if I use this keyword as the anchor text for the backlinks as well (I'll mix it up w/ other keywords of course, it won't be more than 40%), won't the 2nd and 1st tier sites (which will have way more links w/ the keyword as the anchor text) outrank my money page? I know I'm missing something, what is it? P.S. Instead of using the main keyword as the anchor text for the backlinks to the 2nd and 1st tiers, should I use other more long tail keywords instead? |

Also, link back to your site when possible from the seconds and third tier as well as linking to the tier above it. This will give you more links and a more natural approach. Don't follow the pyrimid structure precisely, it's usually better use it as a guide only and link to various other webpages too. | |
