Funding Your PPC Campaigns

I know one of the hardest parts of starting up in affiliate marketing and PPC is having the initial capital to fund your campaigns. Its a terrible feeling putting your hard earned money from your day job on the line for a failing PPC campaign. Recently I've found a way to fund my PPC campaigns while I'm working on my computer without too much additional effort.

Introduce ChaCha...

ChaCha is a human driven search engine. People call (1-800-2CHACHA) or text (242242) ChaCha and a human answers their questions. The human that answers these questions is called a "ChaCha Guide". ChaCha pays their guides $0.20 per question that they answer, so while I am sitting on my computer working on my affiliate marketing PPC campaigns I also have my ChaCha window open. The way I see it is that for every question I answer I can send a couple visitors to my affiliate websites. ChaCha also has Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon, funding it so you know you will be paid.

I am currently up to $100 per day ad spend on Google Adwords and it was all funded initially using ChaCha. I started with spending $10 per day and have slowly reinvested my profits. Soon I hope to be spending $500 and eventually $1,000 per day.

It does take a little effort to become a ChaCha Guide. You have to sign-up, take three tests (on the company, typing speed, and intelligence), then you have to take a simulator test. After you complete the process you are then officially a paid ChaCha Guide.

If you want to streamline the ChaCha Application process then you can join my "ChaCha Team". To get on my team and save yourself some time and trouble do the following:

1.) Go to ChaCha. Ask Away.
2.) Click on the "Become a Guide" button then click "Get Started"
3.) On the application it says "If a ChaCha guide referred you please enter their email address:". Enter ajnnadeau@aol.com.
4.) After you do that send me an email or PM me and I will give you a bunch of tips to get accepted into ChaCha.

Good luck to everyone and have fun doing the ChaCha!

Great idea Andrew. Thanks for the tip. Do you have to commit to certain hours, or do you just log on whenever you want to?

You can log on when ever you want to and answer questions. You actually learn a lot doing it and I have even found a few good niches just from the questions being asked.

Yea, they pay on-time every month. You do need to be from the U.S. and there are two options to get your payment. You can get paid via direct deposit into your bank account (this is what I do) or you can sign-up and get a debit card and with the debit card you can withdraw directly from your earnings.

The company has Jeff Bezos (the founder of Amazon) funding it, so I'm not too worried about getting paid as I think they have plenty of money.

I don't get the premise of the thread. I fund my PPC campaigns with a credit card. My PPC account doesn't get charged right away. The credit card bill comes about a month or so later. By then I have more than earned back what the ads cost (or paused them).

The only real issue is the credit limit on the card, but that's what PPC budgets are for.

In other words, the ads are self-funding, so I don't see the problem. It's not like mail order where you pay for an ad in advance and don't have money coming in for months.

Many people when they first start out in PPC are afraid to lose money, so they put their budgets too low and don't do enough testing. A lot of campaigns lose money before you can tweak it and make the campaign profitable. For someone starting off in PPC that doesn't have a lot of money being a ChaCha guide can be a good way to make a little money and not be afraid of losing it on a PPC campaign.

Chris, you are right though in the sense that if you have all profitable campaigns the only cash flow problems you will have is maxing out your credit cards before the end of the month.

The question here is what is the value per click? Meaning how many clicks do you need from google adwords to turn it into a sale?

You can set up a daily budget and CPC for a test in the first few days, then lower it later after seeing the value of the clicks and conversion rate.

Everything is about the test test test....

I guess this thread wasn't as much about PPC strategy, but more about how to make an extra $200 to $300 a month while working on your affiliate marketing and PPC campaigns.
