Default What are the best web 2.0 properties

This sounds like a rookie question, but really...

I constantly ask myself a few things.

1 what properties have dofollow links?
2 which properties have the fewest requirements to show your material?(such as squidoo, they suck)
3 which properties have high pr?

Those are my top questions

You get the idea though...

Generally, which 2.0 properties are the best to build great backlinks on?

"This is what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object."

Thank you,
Harrison

Hello Sir Harrrison.

Do follow links are good because they allow you to get banklinks and links people can click on to go to your site. Squidoo, Hubpages, EZA and article directories, blogs, most forums, social bookmarking etc etc. These are all good web2.0 properties that provide high PR do follow backlinks.

Squidoo pages don't actually suck. It's an example of a web2.0 property. All of the above have the least requirements but most don't really require anything other than you provide relevant material and don't spam the hell out of them.

Its not hard to find sites with high PR. Google has a PR checker, Google it. This link shows you the highest PR article directories.

High PR sites with relevant to your subject content added, with a do follow link to your site, are good.

You will want to use InfoBarrel.com, SirHarrison.

I'm not kidding...it's business model is far superior than just about any Web 2.0 property out there right now. It is currently a PR4 site, however, it's growth has been nothing short of exponential.

Also, if you want to REALLY be on the cutting edge of IM, don't look at what is hot right now....do thorough research and detailed analysis in the business models and specific elements of functionality that each respective site offers.

Type in "InfoBarrel Chart" on Google... (and, select "Images")

You will want to use that site.

I am going to have to check out that info barrel.

Also there are soo many sites to name. I would focus on verticals in your niche. And also video sharing sites since video is continuously getting more traction.

Best bet...test..test.test

Keep your eye on it. It WILL be a Top-100 Alexa ranked website.

For the last few months they have been investing heavily in an entirely new platform interface (new logo design, facebook-like newsfeed, PM system, etc). It will be released in the next few weeks.

From what I have heard infobarrel is a revenue sharing site, Xomba is another site like that, and VERY easy to get backlinks from. The bonus is you also make a bit of money each month. The links are not do-follow though.

Agreed, I have tried Squidoo on many occasions and found the hubpages always drives more traffic, and the hubs rank much better. My favourites are Ezine and Buzzle for link building through article directories

rel="nofollow"

In my research even links that are nofollow still help your overall rank in google.

What site are we talking about here?

You wrote this:

Xomba may be no-follow....HubPages is no-follow (if you fall below a hubscore of 75)...and, I know that Info Barrel is do-follow...

Oh Sorry, I was talking about Xomba being no-follow. Good to note about hubpages, I did not know the no-follow was removed if your hub is above 75. That gives me even more reason to use it now

WOW!
You guys really started to duke this out.

Info barrel sounds hot. I sure will take a look into it.

I did just look at it and from the looks of it, it is another video course that promises you the world and more.
What makes this course sooooo unique compared to the others?

One more thing.... If somebody could just list there favorite 2.0 properties with reasons why that would be amazingly helpful to me.

Because right now I'm about to just stop using them because I don't like to waste my time on them because of the minimal results pulled in.

1) The Squidoo site(squidoo.com) has a high PR but my lens does not have a high PR. The only way to get traffic from these 2.0 properties is to spam them with backlinks from spamming software. To get some kind of PR (if any)

2) Then Once you try to get the lens or hub on the front page or any page for that matter you have to make it relevant with keywords and tags for google to have any respect for it.

It's an uphill battle to rank in google for anything especially web 2.0 properties.

SirHarrison,

Yes, I wrote a product about Info Barrel, and, yes, I speak about them here almost to the point of annoyance. I have used various Web 2.0 sites throughout the last few years, and I've followed their growth trends, as well as, done thorough analysis behind their business models....how they handle content, their offerings, incentivization of their platforms, etc...

I didn't write the course for no reason. Of even the highest ranked websites in the world, which are Web 2.0 properties for good reason, Info Barrel will be joining them shortly. Their growth has been nothing short of exponential, and their offerings (revenue share as high as 90% is VERY easy to obtain with essentially 6, 1,000 word articles written each month...) (I can explain more about revenue share upon your request, however, it blows the offerings of similar websites out of the water.

I didn't write the course blindly.

Bear in mind, there are MANY ways that a property like this can be used and monetized. Even down to the intricate details behind Info Barrel's color scheme, even as a fast growing PR4 websites, I know several people who are already earning $700-$1,000/month from Google Adsense alone.

Studies these profiles and emulate what they are doing (just a small sampling). The last one is earning almost $50/day from Info Barrel JUST from Google Adsense.

Member: Travis_Aitch - Info Barrel

Bear in mind, like I said, you can do a million other things with this platform. You can use it's sick resources box placement to draw attention to your website/products/etc...you can monetize with Chitika, Amazon, or even take 100% share in your own placed affiliate links...

And...the best part....

They have been investing VERY heavily in a new platform that integrates some elements of Facebook's functionality (news feed, PMs, etc). Here's a sneak peak:

Ryan McKenzie.com – Social Media Marketing

How often does one get an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a site like this?

Type in "InfoBarrel Chart" on Google, and click IMAGES.

Would you like me to explain more about how their business model specifically relates to other Web 2.0 properties? I have deconstructed up to 18 other properties online.

Who asked you to invest your money into anything?

You don't have to use the site. Whether you use it or not, it's still growing by several hundred new members a week. My point was that great authority and earnings potential can be found in the exponential growth of the site.

You do realize that the higher a site is ranked in Google, typically the more authority and favor it has, and the more potential your articles have to rank well immediately? This is a BIG deal for marketers.

oohh bargain price.

I can get just as great web 2.0 success for cheaper with Link Vana on a monthly basis for a time. Or I could get a trial.

Also
How most ebooks sold online relating to making money online are bull.

What are you talking about?

The site is free to use. I was already 100% transparent with the fact that I made a product about it...but, the reason I did was because of the information I provided you with....

There is a website called infobarrel.com and it's free to use just like HubPages or Squidoo....I was trying to help you out....

You don't have to use the website if you don't want to.

"I just don't trust any marketer besides myself."

This attitude won't get you very far.

I'm not trying to sell you anything. I could care less if you buy my product...in fact, I've given it away for free to several hundred (yes...hundred...) members of Warrior Forum. That has nothing to do with the potential earnings of the site.

My attitude has saved my behind more times than I care to mention. People are selfish, and selfish is the only way to succeed. Selfishness goes hand in hand with greed which makes the world go round.

Watch who you trust at the end of the day and make sure you don't rust too many.

I love preaching that.

On the other hand I found the free site I came across, your product I believe.

Ok. If that works for you.

The world certainly has its fair share of greed, however, if you hang out around this forum a bit....you'll see that alot of people give of themselves altruistically (believe it or not). Whether it be to sponsor another warrior, or to help pay for a WSO, many here have been very blessed and have gone to great lengths to help others do what they have.

I don't blindly follow or trust people, however, my profession (soldier) requires me to at least have some degree of trust and faith in those who I am leading.

I wish you the best, but I'd encourage you to not always default to thinking that people are just inherently out to scam or take advantage of you.

It's a free site, just as much as Squidoo or HubPages (the same sites you asked about) are free sites.

Are there any other questions you have about these sites?

I'm an open minded individual. I know that everybody isn't bad, but I also know that some are.

I share as well. if you look at my posts you will find I share great information. You should know as well as I do. Everybody on here; if they have half a mind, doesn't share there great success secrets to there marketing enterprise. They keep them to themselves. They have to otherwise they would'nt be a great marketing enterprise...

AKA selfishness
and greed

everybody has it they just don't live on it

I have faith in others as others do in me, but I know everybody has another personality that craves certain things such as wealth, power and so on.
Who doesn't it's a persons ego. It is what drives them form there own mind.

You gotta hustle at the marketing game, especially when you are playing it on our level. People will steal your money straight out from under you.

If your not greedy you simply won't succeed and you won't have that drive to make any money.

"This is what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object."

"Everybody on here; if they have half a mind, doesn't share there great success secrets to there marketing enterprise."

It depends. Sometimes it comes at a price....sometimes you can piece together forum poster's posts and gain ALOT of insight into their success.

"If your not greedy you simply won't succeed and you won't have that drive to make any money."

I'm not sure that I agree with this.

I would confuse passion, drive, and an entrepreneurial spirit with greed. I want to provide for my family, just as much as other people here do....but, does that make me greedy? I work very very hard for what I have, and I try hard to give back. Am I greedy? Well, I don't love money to the extent that I would kill or murder for it, however, I do love the fact that it makes some things in life a bit more comfortable and convenient.

I think there is a difference between greed and have a strong will and desire to succeed....a 'Warrior's Spirit'...

I notice IB states that they only accept original articles - do they mean that original articles must be published on IB first?

Or do they accept an original article that I publish on my own site first?

Thanks
