So my website is www (DOT) consolidate-debt (DOT) org. From creation until about 2 weeks ago I was ranking page 17 for consolidate debt. I updated my title on my site along with some new meta. If you go to the site, you'll see my new title and meta description. .....So time goes by, yesterday Google re-indexed my new site (showing the new title on my index.php). This made me jump to page 2. Today... I checked, and im like on page 15-16... BUT, it shows my previous title name. I made these changes two weeks ago. It's like it updated yesterday, but only for yesterday and went back to the cached site today. WTF? Frustrating? |

Well, first off, you might already know this, but all of those meta keywords you have there are useless. They are not doing anything (other than serving as a reminder to you of what your keywords are). Google does dance sometimes. I have also witnessed them reverting back to an old version of the cache. The reason for this is unknown. Perhaps trouble with / update of a server segment. Rest assured, after a while, it'll rest. In the meantime, some general advice: You do have a great many inbound links, I don't feel like trying to analyze their effectiveness, but you might want to target your specific keywords better. > Cross link text on your site using your keywords as the anchor text. > Change your title to hit another, more powerful keyphrase of yours (not debt consolidation) > Use some keywords in your H1 and H2 tags And for goodness sake, please do not use courier as your text font, way too much monospaced serif. Gütenberg's days are long over. |

LoL.... Your post made me laugh, I like my "uber alles" courier font though :-p Verdana pisses me off to much and I hate arial. But yeah, this google dance you speak of makes sense. I just hate how it went back to my cached title. But hopefully it will rest, as you state. Thanks |

I've seen it take as long as three weeks, fyi, but the good news is that, more often than not, when it does come to rest, you come out higher then any of the dance positions it wobbled in between!
