Must be missing a key ingredient - Frustrating

I put some of my keywords into Market Samurai and do SEO Competition on them. My webpages beat 3 to 4 of the top 10 in ALL categories yet my pages are not even in the top 30. The other sites in the top 10 are shopping/product sites. I have more BLP but not indexed pages or BLDs.

There has to be something I'm not doing.

PR of backlinks is not a factor when the ranking sites have 2 backlinks and my site has 90. I have sites that are exact domain match for the keyword and others that have the keyword nested in the URL. My sites are also 3 - 6 months old and more.

I use mainly article marketing for backlinks, with profile links, bookmarking and RSS feeds added in.

This might be your problem. Check and see where your competitors are getting their links from. Links from article marketing/profile links are generally very weak links unless you pump up those sites.

And I highly doubt that your competitors have 2 backlinks. This might be the number of links to the page, but the number of links to the domain also matters, as that PageRank will flow through the site.

I think your missing key ingredient is a single high quality backlink.
