Post Microsoft Adcenter versus google adwords demographics

I am interested to know what the current demographics are between the yahoo / bing search engine versus the google search engine. I found this article back in 2008 which details the differences, but I was wondering if anyone knows of any data that is more recent than this? Based on this 2008 report, it seems that yahoo search engine traffic averages younger than google, which would indicate that younger folks perfer yahoo over google.

This information holds weight because if one knows more about the demographics of the search engine audience more tweaking on ppc campaigns can be performed and adjusted for the overall strategy.

Here is the link to the 2008 report:
Hitwise: Google Users Older, Bigger Spenders Than Yahoo’s

If anyone knows of a more recent report please post it please.

A TON has changed since 2008 but I wouldn't go for one or another search engine based on demographics. Just go with all of them and adjust your campaigns based on your own conversions. You can not go wrong this way.

I appreciate the feedback and I would use your method, but there is only one problem. I am direct linking to the offer and I don't want to get slapped by google. Microsoft is permitting me to do this. Right now, time is an issue and I don't have time to create landing pages, etc, so direct method is the only way I can market now. Any ideas?

Your response here is a little vague, but if what your saying is your creating backlinks directly to you offer page then you should be fine. But if your pressed for time I would make a Squidoo or Hubpage, throw some copy from the offer on there and add a little bit of review to it then backlink to that instead. That way you always have that one lens or Hubspot page and you can change the offers on it as you see fit. And you don't have to worry about doing linking to a product that turns out not to convert very well in the first place.

Regards,
Clint
