Ezinearticles.com vs Myownminiseowebsite.com?

Please I need your help.
Is better for a newbie to write articles on ezinearticles.com, setup a landing page and from there redirect the visitors to the clickbank product sales page?

or

Have a mini website whose domain name is based on the niche one is involved and write the articles on that mini site?

For the 2nd option wont it take long for the mini website to rank with google even with backlinks?

Or one should do both?

Please advise

P.S I am ok with keyword research and can identify sweet niches.

I don't do EZA anymore. To me it's junk. I'd do squidoo or hub before I did
any article stuff like that. Your own domain is really the best thing. IF you
do the EZA thing, submit a bare-bones summary of your great article. Save the
good stuff for your own empire.

If you are worried about ranking, how much juice do you think you are going
to get from EZA? Not much. Use it, but submit skimpy articles like everyone else
just to get that link in there.

That's just my opinion.

For the shorter term you would write your own article on EZA (quicker traffic), and for the longer run and to create a real business you would want to use your own domain and own hosted service.
