I have a website that i will be upgrading to a fresher look keeping the same content and adding as well, the site has great rankings will I sacrifice, what are the right steps to maintain and not loose what has been rewarded by the search engines....Also if I were to build a new site same content plus allot more content to the site from a .net domain name using same name is this a good idea, any critical feed back is greatly appreciated Thanks |

I just did this and noticed no change in my SERP. New theme is better SEO'd. I also added 20 new pages to site before I did the update. All the pages were indexed.

It really depends on a ton of different factors but you really should not worry about it. If you are going to freshen up the site then just do it. You can always just increase your seo efforts. Just make sure that your site architecture is still exactly the same or you might run into some problems. I think you're just going for cosmetic changes though so you should be fine. I don't really get what you are asking in your second question. |
