Domain parking is where you buy a domain name and pretty much a hosting service puts up one big ad on your domain. My personal advice would be not to bother with it unless you have something like "facebok.com" or a popular domain name spelt wrong because that would probably be the only time anyone would stumble upon your parked page. Let me note as well that you only get paid if someone clicks on this ridiculous ad. So yeah, do what you will with this information. Ethan. | |

You can also park a domain you intend to develop IF the circumstances are right. For example, in 2007 if you were pretty nerdy you might have been excited about "tablet pc's." Except who knows in 2007 if they'll be called tablet PCs, touch-screen PCs, PCs without keyboards, or iScreens or something. You might register a few domains and park them, waiting to see if you get lucky. If you'd parked "tabletPCreview.com" in 2007, you'd be in a pretty good position today.

Domain parking is an inexpensive way to ensure further development area, redirecting Internet traffic, or for resale. domain registrants or distributors often offer free parking domain domain registration, since it is virtually no cost, with a parking area.
