I am gearing up to launch a new eBook, and being new at this I am wondering about SEO. Should I bother trying to SEO the site and try to pull organic traffic, or focus more on affiliate or some other method? Any suggestrions on launching a brand new ebook would be helpfull. Thanks |

It all depends. What kind of budget do you have for advertising? Even though its "free" traffic its not always free to actually rank for your keywords. If you don't have any budget for SEO or any other advertising then you're probably better off trying other methods that will get you a lot more traffic for small/no budget advertising.

I suggest both seo and affiliate. It helps you more than any other choices and if you know about seo, it can be done for you almost free and it only needs your time.

Hi, Depends on what sort of niche you are in. If it is a relatively low competition niche then you should be able to "clean up" using SEO. Getting affiliates on board is actually alot harder than it seems. I should know, it was very difficult starting out. If you are relatively new and/or your product is low cost then many affiliates will pass you by. Good luck, Sam |

Use PPC to test your sales page conversion. Start with affiliates ONLY after it converts well. The best affiliates will run away from your site if their traffic doesn't convert well. Work on your SEO continuously.

You could start up a blog that talks about the various tactics in your ebook and start ranking that in the search engines. (Always be pre-selling) Add the opt-in to your blog, which directs them to the sales page of your ebook. Here is quick sketch I did for you in about 30 seconds. Very basic but effective. | |

| So after readin his site and listening to his pitch, I am a little concerned abou twhether th product is a good fit for me. I already have a product. A few actually, and I am looking to get going with the advertising of them. His product seems more like a system that shows you how to come up with new products and launch them. Can anyone confirm that this system is idea for someone looking to advertise an ebook? |

The only method that has worked consistently for me is backlinking. It takes time - upwards 6 months, but the initial trickle eventually turns into several hundred free visitors a day. However, most successful marketers I know typically use paid traffic to generated targeted visitors and use free traffic as a gravy. If you know PPC, it would be a good place to start, or even PPV (use competitor site names as keywords to a squeeze page and then direct to affiliate offer or your site. Sleazy, but effective provided you have a good converting page). Of course, the best is having your own active list to market to. Quote:
