I am confused and I need help on keyword research

I am selling automotive LED lights, HID Conversion kit, etc

I have been using Google keyword tool to do Keyword research, but seems the result is not very good.

Seems the keyword is either very competitive with high monthly search or not competitive at all, but very little monthly search.

Can someone point me out on how to balance this and choose the best keyword. (Yes, I am very suck at keyword research as well)

I need a technic that I can follow step by step on choose the keyword. thanks!

As the owner of the site you don't need to suffer or to get a hard time in keyword searching. Focus and analyze everything rather than taking it so tough this will gives the right status in mind to settle. Only you can handle this situation the other things will be the support.

the google keyword tool it's not so exact , i don't think there is any tool that can show you the exact searches /month . I made a website for a keyword , that google said it would be 20.000/month , but now , when i am on 1 place, i get nothing , only 1 visits/ 2days . So , less than 100 visits/ month . This is why i don't trust any tool . These tools will only help you get an idea
