Default Posting my Ezine Articles Back on my Blog?

I have like 200 some ezinearticles for a website of mine.

A guru I am listening to (a good one) claims its ok to put these on my site AFTER they are indexed and posted on ezine.

Is this true that its ok? I raelize dupe content wont hurt me, but what gains will it do?

Don't target the same keywords that your article is ranking for!

Google won't rank the article on your website highly if the 'original' is ranking for that search term.

Dupe content won't hurt you as long as you are targeting a different KW. As for gains, it will do what any normal article will do.

Be aware though, Ezines can take down your article if they see it has been posted elsewhere. This is rare as it has already been through the Ezine review process, but it can happen.

So if the article is on Glass Eyeballs and its in the title, etc, and I put this on my blog, do I change out the keyword? Or just remove it from teh title and meta stuff when I put it on my own site/blog?

If your Ezine article is already ranking for the keyword "Glass Eyeballs", you would have a very hard time ranking the duplicate article on your website for this same keyword.

Instead, target something like "Prosthetic Eyeballs".

When targeting a keyword, this requires both on and offpage SEO. So the best-pratice onpage tips would included changing out "glass" for "prosthetic" in the title, meta, and keywords within the body. Although this is not absolutely necessary, the offpage SEO is.

You should backlink using anchor text focusing on your new keyword.
