How I went from Google page 3 to #6 on 1st page!

Hey Warriors,

I have an amazon site that is in a semi-competitive niche. When I bought this site several months ago I was bouncing back and forth from the last result on page one to the first on the second page.

However, after purchase I didn't set the site up like it was to keep publishing auto-content (in this case amazon reviews using reviewAzon). And it quickly dropped out of the results and eventually got so far back I grew tired of looking for it (because I waited several weeks).

So, I bought my license for ReviewAzon, set up the product posts and scheduled them and pinged it after my first post. I contined pinging this blog daily using ping4free.com and it eventually started to rise back through the results. . .

After a few weeks, I was disappointed that now the best result I could achieve was the middle of page 3 for my keyword.

So I decided to take drastic measures . . . I outsourced some social bookmarking and ended up getting about 250 social bookmarks for this site. I was given the results in a spreadsheet report.

This helped somewhat but only got me to the top of page three after a couple of days . . . So I decided to work harder.

I have a tool that I use to index new sites quickly, so I thought it would be smart to run these links through this tool and get the links indexed . . .

Now this took me a while to do, even though it was just basically copy and pasting because I had to wait for the tool to run. I still haven't even completed half of the links and I'm now back on the first page of Google and with my highest result ever for this site which is the #6 spot. I am doing more indexing and will be doing some more backlinking to improve my rankings.

Hope this helps some of those who are frustrated with not rising in the search engines.

That's a unique plan for me. Didn't you create any backlinks? I wonder about it. Now Amazon have a huge traffic from USA. Now I plan to make few web sites which deal with amazon. Hope your guide will be a useful one for me

The site had some backlink work done when I bought it, but not much. The initial results were mostly due to keyword content.

The social bookmarking is essentially building backlinks. Sometimes you can get several backlinks from one single bookmark and often for about three keywords.

What I did after getting these social bookmarks was start creating backlinks to them using my software (which also pings the links) so this helped more.

This is a wordpress blog that uses the ReviewAzon plugin to make product review type posts.

Actually, I used this same method on a static website that promotes a different amazon product. It was already on the first page of google, but was at #8, it moved up to #5 (it was even at #1 for a few days).

But I think it works better with blogs, especially if you are pinging them because of the fresh content.

The product promoted on the blog has several varieties, so it takes lots of posts whereas the static page just has 2 models.

So this technique works for both blogs and static sites.

Backlinks is KING. I just moved my keyword move from #9 to #5 with backlinks. Just build backlinks with various ways.

I didn't really understand it all. Did you use some software/program for this or installed a social bookmark plugin on your sites?
I know you explained it all but I would appreciate if you could just simplify it for me if possible, sounds like a good plan.

For me social bookmarking is the best for fast indexing in google search engine. I will not be disappointed if my site went from #3 to #6 but I'll focus on my quality optimization. hope this helps.
