My favourite SEO method is none of what you mentioned, the best SEO method is optimizing blog post titles with low competition so your blog posts get 1st page!

Articles are probably the best, in my opinion. You can use them to drive traffic and sales. Can also use them for article directory submissions and web 2.0 properties. Good for backlinks too...

I prefer Forum Posting/ Signature, Social bookmarking and Directory submission for SEO. These 3 methods are favorite to me.
