Just Be Sure before Choosing Blogs which you will comment . It needs to be realted topi with your niche and it needs to have DO FOLLOW link rule .

Excellent suggestion. This is something I don't hear mentioned on PPC/business forums much. If I look at where my traffic comes from, I see that a nice percentage comes from google image searches. A good way to increase traffic to your site.

Hi,

forum postings and link exchange always work fine, not matter what your site is about.
If it is your own website be sure your keywords in the metatags are carefully chosen, most important for your SEO.

And depending on your business the use of Traffic Exchanges can help too.
This will not work for the average webstore, but if you are looking for resellers, affiliates or referrals, TE's can be very useful.
Also when you are offering webhosting or something related TE's will work for you.

NOTE:
When using TE's it's most important your website is loading fast and show immediately what you are offering, to much info will not work because initially the TE surfer will visit your website only for 15 up to 30 seconds (depending on the program)... so without having to scroll down the visitors attention have to be caught, making him/her curious to read more and stay longer.

Nice point , viral reports are also a great way , but you have to make sure that the report is of high quality . Because ,nowadays , there is so much competition.

it depends what sort of traffic your after, converting traffic is what your after if you in business, and ppc can work but you have to be very specific, and keep a tight budget, to make sure you don't overspend. Social bookmarking works and also video, if you have the right type of product for that type of marketing

although you never know when it's going to hit
so you can't rely on it.

but say you have a book on romantic tips or

Yes - PPC has to be the fastest way - but it is not free. It can add up really quick. Getting free traffic is far better.

Some free traffic methods I find are adding blogs for my niche to Google Reader and then adding valuable comments along with my url as a sig.

I've also been experimenting with Twitter and am seeing some really good results in generating traffic.

But , you need to be aware that -all traffic are not equal .

You should be able to buy traffic which are highly targeted that can help you drive customers which are exactly looking for your products or services .

Well if you pick your keywords wisely, refine them, optimize them and tweak them, do a proper market and keyword research, the natural result should be highly targeted traffic, so if you`re doing all those stuff there`s nothing to worry about. Of course, I always recommend using negative keywords in PPC to flush out freebie hunters.

Good things come with time and I'm here to stay. It was an expensive lesson to learn but there are no shortcuts to getting rich.
