As you said traffic from the search engine is very effective and highly targeted .

But , one of the problems is that in order to bring your website to the front page of the search engine results page takes time and resource .

So , you need to use short time traffic generation techniques like PPC and and use SEO for long term results .

These are nice traffic generation sources , but make sure that some of them are not instant traffic generation techniques .

If you want instant traffic your two choices are obvious.

If you have $$$$$ you use adwords.

If you have -$$$$ you use blog replying and crap.

ofcourse , unlike other targeted traffic generation sources , in order to exploit the power of ppc marketing , you need to do it right .

You do need to enter the PPC game unless you know how to do it .

Ehhh, I'd say learn PPC as QUICK as possible, not slowly. Of course you need a budget to work with but that's how this game works. You WILL LOSE MONEY at first. Don't cry about it. It's a learning experience. But at the same time don't blindly just throw up campaigns. Like I said follow a good course on PPC and learn from someone who knows what they're talking about and take action. Also don't complain when things don't work, it's all about testing and many things WON'T work at first. It's about finding winning campaigns, sometimes by trial and error. Hope this helps.

PPC has to be the fastest for sure.

However, it is going to cost you a 'donkey' if your not careful. It can be really expensive if you don't know what you are doing and knowing what you are doing takes a long time to figure out.

So, PPC is probably the fastest but is expensive.

If you want it free and you want it fast, then there is not much to choose from. Free traffic takes time.

Blog commenting has been a huge traffic generator for me to several of my blogs. the other great thing about blog commenting is that it allows you to generate inbound links to your blog with the anchor text being your name so it also helps rank your name in the search engines! It is a great way to tap into other communities online and generate a stream of traffic from each one to generate your own river of traffic at your site... I highly recommend it!

To find the right people, you can do a search with Google.

I agree, you will get a lot of traffic but hardly any sales because of this.I stick to ezinearticles.com, blogging, blog commenting and forums.This way you will get most of your traffic directly from search engines and your traffic is highly targeted.It will take time, but this is a job like any other.

If you have lots of images on your site, you should name them correctly so the Google search engine picks up the images. Then people will find your site when they are searching for images.

Make sure you use the right tag to name your image.

For me, PPC is a great way to generate traffic and earn revenue for the site. PPC is a paid advertisement while forum posting and blog comment is for organic result of the site. Forum posting and blog comment can generate traffic but it depends on the traffic and visitors of the site.

I'm trying out the Google search tip that Gerry pointed out.
However, since I'm in the "make money online" market, when I type

in Google, most of the results (actually, I think all of the results) I get are of established Internet marketers.
I don't think they are my potential customers? I mean, I'm searching for people who do not know how to make money online, but want to get started.

1. Are there any conditions to posting our sites in the signatures that would otherwise get us banned or reprimanded?

2. PPC - I want to try this $25 dollar coupon for advertising with yahoo. It gives you a section to add as much as up to 50 keywords/ keyword phrases. Should I use a bunch of keywords that cover the wide range of products on my site or should I use only one or 2 keywords for one particular product on my site?
