Personally, video marketing has proven to be very effective for me in terms of driving traffic and I cannot emphasize this enough but find something that works for you and one that drives the kind of traffic that you'll want.

Just to share my little successful techniques use twitter and get as many followers as you can then after creating 10 articles per day submit them to atleast 40 sbm sites then tweet them also I get hundreds of visitors from twitter alone...

You are right , strategically you should aim long term targets . But , you need to be aware that using powerful techniques which are targeted to bring quick results are also important .

So , I recommend that you have short and long term plan and strategy .

Find a website with lots of traffic like 30k uniques a day and a webmaster willing to sell you cheap adspace on their site. Make sure your site has some relation to the one you buy adspace on.

I think you also have to see it from different angle. If you do it the right way PPC can bring you a very targeted traffic very quickly . At the same time, if you find a winner campaign in PPC campaign, it is so simple to scale a campaign and make lots of money.

Forum and Blog commenting have also their PROS and CONs.

So, I always recommend that you diversify your traffic so to build reliable and defensible income online.
