I was wondering what you guys thought about creating backlinks to a main url versus individual blog posts. I normally just link to my main url, should I be working on linking to my blogs posts also?

you should be spreading at least 50% of those links around to your other blog posts. Keep them relevant to each post. e.g. send a link about warthogs to your warthog page, Your links about aardvarks should point to your aardvarks page. General links about ugly animals could link to the home page Kenj |

The more diversified you are in your investments the greater the chance of realizing profits. Same goes for your links. Building links from a variety of areas rather than just one area is going to reap better dividends. Even better if you use social bookmarking and social networking to promote the backlinks that you create as this creates a link tower that builds more link juice to your main site.
