Widgets with hidden links. How to beat this tactic?

Hello warriors,
This is my first post to the forum so i salut you

Since inbound links are such an important factor for SEO, websites have started using widget bait to try to increase their backlinks.

Some of my local (geographic) competitors (web designers, seo consultants) develop and distribute widgets that include a hidden link as part of the code. When site users add the widget to their site, they are also linking out to developers sites.

Somebody will tell me this: "they can't build a widget for every keyword phrase they want to target"...

The main problem is that they and i do local seo for our websites and the keywords are few.

How i can beat the above tactics?
i get 10-20 links indexed / day they manage to get hundred's of links's / day and in this case quantity matters.

Any tips?
