From your experience, do image ads OR text ads pay you more per click? From my experience.. image ads pay A LOT better than text ads on average!

Text ads are better according to me , text ads will give you more clicks and more money. But it also depends on what type of niche you are having for ads

If the question is, which pays more, you never know. However, google tells you to allow image ads to avoid blocking the highest paying if applicable. But they look out for their own interests. The highest paid click could be on either image or text. You don't really care about the $$$ per click, as the previous poster was referring to. You care about the bottom line. Do a test. Keep image and text and see what loads on the page. If it is all image, chances are the image is paying more. But the top ad does not always give the highest click. And if it varies between showing a text and image, then it would seem both pay the same, all other things being equal. But all other things are never equal, so it's just a guess. Paul |

Like Paul said, you have to split test & find out for yourself what works the best for your site/niche/theme/traffic. When you split test you have to give it some time, at the very least a week of split testing. This also depends on the amount of traffic your site gets per day. The last split test I did (text vs image) for one of my sites lasted one week with approx. 21,000 (3k per day x 7 days) page views. In my split test, text Ads smoked the image Ads in everything CTR & $$. |

Depends on the niche too. Some have more image ads then others. |

Actually both. Recent testing has shown that image ads that are mostly text convert better than primarily "image" ads. Go figure :-)
