|  Status of the Sitemap is Always Pending?
I see the status of Sitemap in Webmaster tools account is always pending. Total URLs in Sitemap, Indexed URLs in Sitemap and Last downloaded by Google are displayed as blank spaces. I dont understand why it is showing?

Please note that it usually takes Google to crawl your website 1.5 to 2 days after your website submission. A tip I know is this that Google usually take reference from DMoz.org and Yahoo!. So do submit your sitemap to both of them too. Hope it is useful for you. | |

No, it should not be pending, it only stays pending for a couple hours usually.

Everytime I submit a new site/sitemap, then it reads "Pending", all you have to do is keep hitting the Refresh button on your browser. About the 3rd or 4th time it will finish the sitemap submit. If that doesn't work, then chances are the url path to your sitemap is wrong. |
