Is there a plugin that enables me to pre-load posts and have it auto-post on schedule?

You can do this within the "Add/Edit Post" menu. On the right hand side there is a box that says "Publish". If you change the publish date to a future date it will schedule the post for you.

@theebookcavern is right. No plug in needed to do this.

Here's an article that sets out the process, with screenshots: Schedule WordPress Posts | Create an Awesome Home Business Google doesn't care about scheduled posts at all - same as any other post. Cheers, Martin. |

I think the default WP setup will ping the post as soon as you schedule it.

| I think the post is only pinged once it actually goes live. So if you schedule a post for 30/01/2011 it will not get pinged until that date. I am basing this on on the fact that everytime I schedule a post in Wordpress it automatically adds a custom field titled "asp_ping_later".
