I think a couple of months ago, the ask.com empire blew up.
Chalk it up to them trying and failing to compete with google.

I think they are actually using adsense or other google-based
advertising now.

so if i am gettng you right you are saying that they no longer accept publishers or dont have the program itself

Ask.com tried a whole new approach, and it imploded.
It's not really geared anymore for contextual search ads.
It's lame for adsense even, but I guess it still has
name recognition and traffic, so google obliges.

Have you been to ask.com lately? The only ads I see are google's.

You can contact them, but I don't see any other ads besides google.

In fact, the "search" results look suspiciously like google's.
