I'm thinking of setting up a blog to write reviews of music artists. I LOVE music and listen to a hell of a lot of stuff, and always have opinions on it, so I fugred I could try to plug some affiliate links into each review. Just wondered if there were any better affiliate programs for this? I hear Amazon cookie length is only 24 hours, which is a bit concerning. Any thoughts on this would be great thanks |

eMusic.com pays really well, you should look into it. They pay like 9.99 for a free trial. Rhapsody and a couple of other online music subscriptions have really great affiliate programs. I would stay away from amazon for music, you wont make any money unless you have a monster site.

Hate to say it but amazon is probably your best bet because people will be willing to buy from it. I wouldn't worry to much about short cookie length - do you really thing people are going to think long and hard about buying a $15 cd? Its too bad iTunes doesn't have an affiliate store. |

Amazon might also have a sample of the song you write the review about, then you could embed the song with your Amazon Aff link into your review. If they click the link to buy the CD, they can also buy anything else on Amazon, maybe high dollar stuff not related to music? | |

iTunes has an affiliate program in 22 countries (US, CA, AU, NZ, JP and 17 countries in Europe), pays out between 4 to 5% and offers a 72 hour window. I've used both Amazon and iTunes to sell music and iTunes made me more money hands down.
