Twitter Confusion! 300+ Tweets with in an hour! How could this happen? Any idea?

Hey guys,

hope you all had a great New Year. I would like to share a confusing and exciting experience I just had with twitter. I made a news article and get it published on PRC just before an hour. I didn't care much about its twitter presence (who knew that it will happen like this) I was just looking at the latest results for the article keyword on Google search and was surprised to see it on top results (right side up top tweet). To make it sure I made a search on twitter search and topsy (live twitter search) and could see that nearly 318 twitter tweets are there with in the last hour mentioning the article. Wow!!

Literally I have no idea how could this be happening. What do you think? I just made a post on this with the screen shots and a few more information in my blog. WTH!? 200+ Twitter Tweets! With in an Hour?? I

Please feel free to share your ideas on this. I would like to know more on this - if possible we could summarize this strategy to an ebook too.

Most of the tweets are coming from 'twitter live search' topsy and a few twitter applications. But more than 60% of the whole tweets are from twitterfeed - this is exactly what I don't understand. I don't have any idea how it get shared like this much. Till now its almost 430+ individual twitter users have shared this link on twitter. Still searching the sources. A few guesses are:- can be from Google News, users of PRC (and feed readers) the place the press release shared. Topsy search for email marketing or from twitter itself. But this all makes just a 40% of the total. Don't what makes the tweets come via the application twitterfeed.
