I've read that if you add to many sites to your adsense account quickly, it can cause your account/site(s) to be smart priced. Is this true? If so, at what rate of adding websites effects your earnings? I'm just curious because I added a website to my account on the 26th of December and since the 31st revenues have dropped roughly 30 - 40%. The site is getting organic traffic, no paid, or suspicious link wheels. |

I agree with Faceblogger, I don't think it effects it in that manner but I could be wrong.

Google doesn't care how many sites you have. Just be sure they are not spammy looking and you will be fine.

hi everyone, I don't think Google will punish you if you give them more advertising space as it gives them more revenue opportunities as long as your website are a valuable content they you will make them money so they don't mind at all. The more the better for you and specially for Google. |

Has nothing to do with the number of sites you have. Obviously, you believe some myth about smart pricing, a topic that is just full of misinformation. Smart pricing actually helps adsense publishers get MORE revenue, not less. That's why it's called "smart" pricing instead of dumb pricing. If you are getting mindless traffic clicking ads with no intention of buying, you are contributing to google charging that adwords user less to be on your page. How does this help adsense users get more revenue? Quote:

'Tis the season. I've noticed a drop in the value of clicks this last week too but am certain I have not been "smart priced". It's a majority of worthless clicks for your advertisers that will drive your site to be smart priced, IMO. A site with no traffic (I have quite a few dormant sites with adsense on them) will have no effect. Good luck to you, ep |

| This. Thanks everyone for the feedback. Earnings are still low, about 40% lower. I'm currently disabling my adsense ads and will reinstate them later. I've heard that this method (while not proven), actually has worked for people before. I've had days at 200% of my average, so I'm just trying to see if I can get back to my old average, let alone higher.

But you can get smart priced if you have a site in your account Google deems to have low quality clicking on. That is why it's always good to have two Adsense accounts - 1 personal, and 1 in your registered company name. My wife has Corp account and a personal account. I have a Corp account and personal account as well. Then you split up your niche markets into different accounts to marginalize smart-pricing. Adsense also plays fair by moving the higer paying ads from one account to the other. One day we get the high paying ads, and the next day some other lucky publisher gets the higher paying ads. For SOME niches, if your traffic is lousy (like India and China) all the time, you will get smart-priced pretty fast. That is why I have IP blocking on all our blogs. I keep the most valuable traffic in Google's eyes coming in, and I block traffic from countries that the advertisers don't want anything to do with. | |

SO you are saying, that there are many people online in India and China who don't spend money at the companies Adwords ads they are clicking on. Google knows this so says, lots of click form India, we pay you less? Is this correct? How do you do IP blocking? Thanks |
