I was wondering what is the best adsense clickthrough rate that is also considered safe. My sites are receiving on an average 10% consistent clickthrough rate. I have done nice ads placement so that might be the reason. Is it safe? Some one told me that that clickthrough rate is too high and would create suspicion for google.

First off all this is a myth, there is no safe click through rate, and anyone who tells you there is a CTR “danger” level doesn’t know what they are talking about! (Or do they work for Google? I doubt it) Every site will have a different CTR – some will have a CTR in single digits and some sites will have a CTR in the high double digits. As an example if you have just 1 visitor a day and they click on 2 ads, that’s a CTR of 200% - But do you really think Google is going to worry about this – No! The only thing Google will come down on you is for click fraud – if you have built a good site and are getting a good CTR and know you are doing nothing wrong then don’t give it another thought. This CTR thing is a Myth! |

There is no CTR that is too small either. Google tells you to not pull ads just because the site has a very low CTR. That one click may have gotten the advertiser a purchase and it means your site is highly targeted and performs quite well. The trick is to pump up the highly target visitors without getting mindless clicks. Paul |

If your visitors convert after clicking, ie. opt in, buy something, google tracks this and will give you higher paying clicks. There is nothing that Google does not know. Just stuff that hasn't been created yet.

That might be the reason why I am now getting more cents for the clicks. When I started adsense on my site I was getting about $0.25/click which then increased to averaging $0.50/click and now I am averaging $1/click. So for about 30 adsense clicks, I was earlier making $15/day which has now increased to $25 -$30/day.
