All-inOne SEO - Pro Vsn. &/or Alternatives?

I'm still pretty new to all of this, so I'd appreciate a little help here:

1) I was installing the All-in-One SEO WP plug-in and noticed there's a Pro version. Is this something new - I haven't noticed it before?

2) Apparently, the Pro vsn. does more than the "regular" vsn., including:

* Automatically optimizes your titles for search engines
* Generates META tags automatically
* Avoids the typical duplicate content found on WordPress blogs These alone seem very useful @ SEO.

I take it the regular vsn. does not do that - and since those features alone seem very important, I guess it's worth the 1x-time fee of $39?!

3) Is there another WP plug-in that does (more or less) the same thing as the All-in-One SEO plug-in - regular or Pro versions - that you can recommend (and why)?

You can just search WP's plug-ins .. for any plug-in, including these - but here are the links:

One Quick question:

I've installed and activated All-in-One on a site, but I haven't begun to actively promote it or even add content to it yet. Would I have to do anything more than deactivate and then delete/remove All-in-One (so as to not cause any problems for the Platinum SEO plug-in) .. and I assume I'd do that before putting Platinum SEO in place, right?


One Related Question:

I've installed and activated the Google Analytics Plug-in. I read the message saying that I had to "select which Profile to track, before Google Analytics can work". But the pull-down menu has only one option - an old site of mine .. but nothing for my new site. And I can't add the new one. Can you guys - or anyone else - help me out?
