Hello Warriors, We know that Relevant Anchor text is important for SEO. But when we comment on blogs our links are in our names. So the anchor text becomes our names. But our niche is not related to our names right? So how does this factor plays a role in our link building? Isn't this is a disadvantage if we think about anchor text factor? |

Why are you putting your name as anchor text? Put the Key word Instead

How is that possible? When we comment our link is inserted in the website field and we type our name in the name field. When the comment is published our link comes within our names. Right?

You can type whatever you want in the name field. Some blogs will see this as spam and delete your comment, others will not.

What matters is does the link ever get published and stay published. For example, let's say you had an Adsense site about roofing services. Now, if you link with "roof repair" your link might get deleted and flagged as spam, especially if your comment looks spammy and irrelevant. But, if you link with "Dave Smith" (and have a relevant, meaningful, comment) the chances of your comment being approved are much greater. You might even try "Dave Smith Roofing" or the like if the blog owner doesn't seem to mind based on other comments you see. If you want exact keyword matches, then you should look at various forum linking or social bookmarking methods. Remember having a mix of anchors, especially links that indicate branding of a site, can be very helpful. |

I liked this part "Dave Smith Roofing" . Smart but on the border line. Some blog owners will approve and others will not. Mix anchors. I know about it but I want any one to explain it better so I can clear my doubts. | |

Try something like 'John from the best wedding speeches', or whatever your website keywords are.

This is a tricky subject but you should always find blogs that are in your niche to comment on, when commenting, check out other peoples comments, do they use anchor text names? Base your decision on what has already been approved, leave a great comment that contributes to the blog and do it manually. Using scrapebox to harvest a bunch of urls and spam them gives a very low approval rate, low permanency of links and basically an overall weaker seo effect, from experience. I've got a blog post about finding high pr blogs to comment on too. <-- -Dave |

Guys, One thing I don't understand. Let's say I name as "Dave" and put my backlink, doesn't that count as a backlink ? And doesn't it affect on google's link count or whatever. Why do I need to put keywords as the name ? to bring more traffic from the blog or for google ? Thanks |

Your keyword should be put in the name field, not your name. It's one way of creating a backlink.

Why not find blogs with the comment luv and also keyword luv plugins enabled. They let you ad your anchor text with your name and the ancjor text becomes your link. You would comment dave@keyword and you get the anchor link you were after. |

| I have seen this where it says "Bob from anchor text" where anchor text is the keyword. Is comment luv the only place where this can be done?

This is a great discussion, I have been noticing that my blog comments have low approval of 1:10 despite leaving quality and meaningful comment. All this while, I haven't try to use name or name and keyword. but my observation reveals to me that quality comments with name has higher approval of 8:10. and this makes me to prefer forum to blog commenting. WHY? your post do no need any approval but instant backlink. |
